Management Team

Mr. Carson Wen BBS, JP

Carson Wen is the Chairman of Sancus Capital Limited.  He is also a partner of the global law firm Jones Day and has more than 30 years of experience in business, corporate, and securities law. He has advised international clients on mergers and acquisitions of listed and private companies in multiple industries and represents international and Hong Kong companies in their direct investments in China.  He has also assisted PRC state-owned and private enterprises in their offshore listings and other corporate finance activities.  He also provides advice on regulatory and strategic issues.

Mr. Wen studied economics at Columbia University, where he received his B.A.  He then obtained his legal education from Balliol College, Oxford University, where he received his BA and MA.  He was the Younger Prizeman in Law at Balliol for 1977.

Mr. Wen has represented Hong Kong since the Handover as a Deputy of the National People’s Congress.  He is a Justice of the Peace and was also awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR Government.  Mr. Wen is Vice-Chairman of the DAB and also holds leadership positions in various professional and community organizations in Mainland China and Hong Kong, including Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Professional Consultants Association, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zhong Hua Construction Foundation and Committee Member of the China M & A Association, China Africa Business Council, California Association of China and Hong Kong, and the China Oxford Scholarship Fund.

 

Ms. Eila Chin

Ms. Eila Chin joined Sancus Capital as Director, General Manager. She comes with 22 years of extensive business management experience at leading global companies, serving major multinational enterprise clients in the Financial Services, Telecommunications, Media and Manufacturing industries.

Prior to joining Sancus Capital, Eila was regional leader in charge of the business operations for:

- Hewlett Packard Asia Pacific Japan - General Manager China, Director North Asia
- Check Point Software Technologies – VP APAC
- Cable & Wireless Global – VP APAC
- Digital Equipment/Compaq – Director eBusiness Solutions, GC
- Price Waterhouse Management Consultants Director, Business Systems Consulting, Asia

Eila has a track record of delivering year on year profitable growth achieved through sharp focus in execution, sales leadership, and operations efficiency during her tenure at each of these companies.

Eila received her M.B.A. from the University of Leicester.

     

 

Ms. Connie Zhong

Ms. Connie Zhong graduated from Zhongshan University with an LL.B. and an LL.M. Ms. Zhong worked for a number of law firms in the United States and Hong Kong, including Shelden & Mak, Siao, Wen and Leung and Heller Ehrman.

Ms. Zhong has extensive experience in handling PRC-related cross-border transactions, focusing on a wide range of commercial matters with particular emphasis on the structuring of foreign-invested enterprises, mergers and acquisitions, and listings.

Ms. Zhong is a frequent speaker on PRC foreign investment laws and regulations, including seminars organized under the continuing professional development program of the Law Society of Hong Kong.

 

Mr. John Young

Mr. John Young obtained his B.A from the University of Hong Kong majoring in Geography and Geology. He worked for the Hong Kong government for a number of years before studying law. He obtained LL.B from the University of London and LL.M (Chinese and Comparative Laws) from the City University of Hong Kong.

He was admitted as a Solicitor in the High Court of the Hong Kong SAR in 1998. He practices law in a variety of fields with emphasis on civil and commercial dispute resolutions. Before joining Sancus, Mr. Young was a partner of Siao, Wen and Leung.


Mr. Dicken Sy

Mr. Dicken Sy graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a First Class Honours degree. He received the Jubilee Prize which was awarded to students attaining the best result together with the recommendation of the Department Head. With the support by the Croucher Foundation Studentship, he began his research on Molecular Endocrinology and obtained a Master of Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong.

He also holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.


Ms Patricia Wijaya

Ms Patricia Wijaya obtained her LL.B. and P.C.LL. from the University of Hong Kong. She was admitted as a Solicitor both in the High Court of Hong Kong and the Supreme Court of England & Wales. Ms Wijaya is an Indonesian Chinese and is fluent in Cantonese, Putonghua, English and Indonesian.

Ms Wijaya is a member of the Beijing Youth Federation, which is the official youth association of Beijing, and also serves on the Community Relations Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong.




Ms. Isabella Chan

Ms. Isabella Chan is qualified as a Legal Executive.  She has experience in legal, marketing, adminstration and hotel industries for many years.

Prior to joining Sancus, Isabella worked for various international and Hong Kong law firms including Baker & McKenzie, Siao, Wen and Leung, Heller Ehrman and Jones Day.




Mr. Brian Pang

Mr. Brian Pang graduated from Simon Fraser University, Canada, where he obtained a BBA majoring in computer science. He holds certifications for MSCE from Microsoft and CCNA from Cisco in the computer-networking field. Mr. Pang's experience is in rolling out new IT products.

Mr. Tony Lin

Mr. Tony Lin holds a BSc degree of Mathematics with Management from Imperial College London, UK, majoring in numerical analysis and financial valuation.

Mr. Vincent Yang

Mr. Vincent Yang graduated with a MSc in Media and Communications (by Research) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.  He subsequently  worked as a journalist for the BBC World Service in London and Ta Kung Pao in Hong Kong (winning a Silver Medal from the HK Newspaper Society for his obituary of Pavarotti) and for Hong Kong-listed SJM Holdings Limited as Investor Relations Manager.
